July Feature Roaster: Eighteen Grams Coffee Roastery
This month, Bean Drop is proud to showcase Eighteen Grams Coffee Roastery, a Melbourne-based specialty roaster with a passion for delivering fresh, approachable, and consistently delicious coffee. Operating from Dandenong, Victoria, Eighteen Grams has built a reputation since 2014 for carefully crafted blends that cater to a wide range of coffee drinkers, from those who enjoy bright and complex flavours to lovers of rich, traditional espresso. Their philosophy is simple: spread their passion with every bean.
Light Roast: Royale
Our featured light roast, Royale, is a sophisticated and elegant coffee that delivers a rich aroma and refined flavour profile. Smooth and layered, Royale is perfect for drinkers who enjoy a coffee with complexity, balance, and a clean finish. Expect a vibrant cup that rewards slow sipping and showcases the craftsmanship behind every roast.
Medium Roast: Blend213
The star of the medium roast selection is Blend213, Eighteen Grams' signature blend and one of their most popular coffees. Combining beans from Colombia, Indonesia, and Ethiopia, Blend213 offers a smooth, full-bodied cup with caramel sweetness, mild nuttiness, and a gentle citrus finish. Versatile and dependable, it shines whether brewed as espresso, long black, filter coffee, or paired with milk.
Dark Roast: Deluxe
For those who prefer a bolder coffee experience, Deluxe delivers everything a dark roast should. Crafted from 95% Arabica and 5% Robusta beans for that extra oomph, it produces a rich, full-bodied cup with notes of chocolate and roasted nuts, excellent crema, and a lingering finish. Deluxe is particularly impressive in milk-based coffees, where its depth and intensity cut through beautifully.
Whether you're exploring lighter, more nuanced flavours or searching for a classic, robust espresso, this month's selection from Eighteen Grams offers something for every coffee lover. Happy brewing! ☕
